- Works to support students with mild learning differences
- Coordinates academic services/tutor referral
- Provides basic classroom accommodations
- Provides academic counseling/consulting on an individual basis
- Liaison between teacher, student and parent
- Provides intervention through direct instruction in small group and individual settings
- Observation and recommendations for learning difference testing
Our very own Courtney Reed and Cindy Knaebel passed their Academic Language Therapy competency exam recently. They are now Certified Academic Language Therapists able to provide diagnostic, explicit, systematic Multisensory Structured Language intervention.
Also, they completed 2 years of training and 700 practicum hours to prepare for the exam.
