Our exciting program offers the perfect balance of fun, learning, and exploration. Every week, campers will enjoy two refreshing swim days at our local pool, splashing and swimming with friends. But that’s not all! We take adventure to the next level with field trips that range from exciting nature excursions to interactive museum visits, to the zoo, and more - every week is a new experience!

  • WK1 JUNE 2-5 Boys Football Camp

    • Time: (Mon - Thur), 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
    • Grades: Rising 3rd - 8th
    • Instructor: Jonathan Quinn, HS Football Coach & Thomas Porter, Defensive Coordinator 
    • Cost: $150

    Head Coach: Jonathan Quinn Coach Quinn has served as Davidson Academy’s Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator for the past 8 seasons. During his tenure, DA has compiled a record of 75-23; winning state championships in 2018, 2019, and 2020. Coach Quinn played quarterback at MTSU from 1995-1997 and was drafted in 1998 by the Jacksonville Jaguars. He went on to play 8 seasons in the NFL as a member of the Jaguars, Chiefs, and Bears. He was also named the MVP of NFL Europe’s World Bowl in 2001. Coach Quinn began his coaching career at MidAmerica Nazarene University as the offensive coordinator from 2007-2008 and as the head coach from 2009-2014. 
     
    Defensive Coordinator: Thomas Porter Coach Porter has served as Davidson Academy's Defensive Coordinator for three seasons. Before arriving at DA Coach Porter was the Head Football Coach at Stratford STEM High School in Nashville TN for 6 Seasons. During his tenure at Stratford Coach Porter led the Spartans to the playoffs each of the 6 years and made it to the TSSAA Semi-Finals in 2018. Coach Porter helped coach Stratford High Schools 1st and only TSSAA Mr. Football Winner (James Moore) in 2019. Porter has also Coached at Ezell Harding Christian School as Defensive Coordinator between2013-2016 and at Tennessee State University as a Graduate Assistant between 2011-2013. Coach Porter played Running Back at Ferrum College in Ferrum VA, 2006-2011, earning all-conference honors and earning the honor as Team Captain his senior year.
     
    Camp Description: Non-Contact: Each camper will work with the Varsity football coaches on fundamentals of the game. There will be many stations set up that focus on running, catching, throwing and agility work. They will learn many aspects of the game and be able to set their foundation as well as sharpen what they already know. We ultimately have two goals for our football camp: learn how to play safely and have fun.

    Come learn basic soccer skills with Coach Unland! Campers will practice passing, dribbling, shooting, running to increase speed and have tons of fun doing it! Coach Unland has taught middle and high school soccer for 20+ years, winning TIAA Championship three times! Coach Unland is well known for his enthusiasm and passion for soccer!

    At our DA Summer Cheer Camp, the campers will learn the basics of cheerleading, such as dance, cheers, jumps, and basic stunt skills. Our campers will work with some of our DA cheerleaders to improve their skills and learn from a very talented group of cheerleaders. We will conclude our camp with a special performance for parents.

    Our soccer camp will feature various skill development and a magnificent camp experience. We are not just an ordinary camp, we believe children should have the best fun filled week. Our activities will include and not limited to; foot skills, passing and receiving, shooting, dribbling, and various small sided games throughout the week in order to reinforce various skills taught. Campers should wear, if possible, their soccer cleats, shin-guards, high knee length socks, and bring with them a sports drink and their water bottles.   • WK6 JULY 14-17 Elem Baseball Camp Co-ed

    • Instructor: Cody Church, DA Varsity Head Baseball Coach
    • Cost: $150
    • Fridaycare Option: $20
    Coach Church is in his third season as the Head Baseball Coach at Davidson Academy. Coach Church began his coaching career as an assistant at NCAA Division I Presbyterian College. Following Presbyterian, he went on to spend two years in the same capacity at Tennessee Tech University - where their teams led the country in runs, homeruns, and hits. After winning an OVC Title, he went on to become the Head Coach at Maryville College, where their teams had a 122-79 record and were ranked top-25 nationally in multiple seasons. 
    Campers will learn basic fundamentals and techniques of hitting, fielding, base running, and throwing. In addition, there will be competitive games to promote team building, communication skills, and most importantly keep each child engaged and having fun playing the sport. The final day will conclude with “sliding practice” using a slip and slide.

    Ever wonder how Max built his boat in Where the Wild Things Are, or how to build the best castle in When a Dragon Moves In? Spend the week in five fan favorite books as we practice reading comprehension, vocabulary, grammar, math, science, and engineering.

    Students will pack their bags and set sail to four locations around the world! At each of the four stops, your student will learn about a different animal and the environment it lives in. We’ll practice vocabulary, make crafts, and do STEM activities with each destination. Students will return home Friday with a “suitcase” filled with memories of their travels!

    Calling all Swifties! Get ready to “Shake It Off” and have the “Best Day” ever at Taylor Swift Camp, where we’ll channel our inner pop stars and embrace the fun, creativity, and sparkle of Taylor Swift’s world. We’ll craft our own stories through exciting activities inspired by Taylor’s iconic Eras. From designing friendship bracelets, creating our junior jewel shirts, and discovering our inner songwriter with our own Taylor Swift song! Of course, we’ll end the week with a Taylor’s Version dance party and a screening of Eras Tour!
    Whether you love “dancing in your best dress” or want to “paint the world red,” this camp is the perfect place to “spark a fire” and make magical memories. A week full of music, crafts, and fun that will make you feel “enchanted”!

    Join us for an exciting, full-day summer camp where creativity and teamwork come to life through Minecraft® inspired activities!
    • Campers will kick off their day by diving into the world of Minecraft® inspired LEGO® sets. From crafting iconic characters to recreating Minecraft biomes, campers will have the opportunity to build, explore, and problem-solve while working on individual and collaborative LEGO® projects.
    • In the afternoon, campers will enter the digital world of Minecraft® Education Edition. With a secure server dedicated to our camp, they’ll enjoy exploring both Survival Mode (where teamwork is essential to gather resources and face challenges) and Creative Mode (where imagination knows no bounds as they design and build their own creations).     The Sculpture Camp for rising 3rd - 8th graders will enjoy a field trip to the Frist Art Museum. This hands-on camp introduces campers to the basics of sculpting and working with various 3D materials. They'll experiment with clay, paper mâché, recycled objects, and wire to build their own creative sculptures, from mini statues to functional art. Clay modeling for sculptural pieces and small functional items, learning paper mâché techniques, experimenting with wire sculptures, and creating collaborative recycled-material projects.
    Due to the Friday field trip to the Frist Art Museum, campers will not participate in the water slide.

    At our LEGO Free Play Camp, imagination knows no bounds! This camp is designed for children who love to build, design, and explore the endless possibilities of LEGO. Whether they're constructing towering castles, futuristic cities, or spinning beyblades, each day is filled with hands-on, self-guided play. With thousands of bricks at their fingertips, campers are encouraged to let their creativity soar as they build whatever they can dream up.
    Camp Highlights:
    • Endless LEGO Bricks: Access to a huge collection of LEGO sets, pieces, and accessories.
    • Creative Challenges: Optional daily challenges to inspire new creations, or go entirely free-form with open-ended building time.
    • Team Collaboration: Work with fellow campers to create group projects, from elaborate cityscapes to giant structures.
    • STEM Learning: Develop problem-solving, spatial awareness, and fine motor skills through fun, hands-on activities.

    • Time: 1 - 4 p.m.

    Beginner and intermediate RC car enthusiasts will enjoy circuit and drag racing the Traxxas 1/16th Slash radio-controlled car. Campers will learn the fundamentals of racing and speed secrets, tips and tricks to gain better control of the car.  Campers will participate in a variety of hands-on challenges designed to improve coordination and confidence in the sport. Please note our cars are not for bashing, running into walls or other cars and remain the property of the camp.

    Lights...Camera...Action! Welcome to the exciting world of Stop Motion Movies. This camp will focus on teaching the basics of Stop Motion Movie creation with MINECRAFT® and other LEGO® figures.
    Each child will learn to write a script, build a set, direct and edit their own Stop Motion movie. Individual as well as group projects will be encouraged.

    Join us for a full day of LEGO® fun! Campers will choose from hundreds of themed sets like Star Wars™, CITY™, Ninjago™, Harry Potter™, MINECRAFT™, and more. Seated by age group, they’ll build independently or in teams on epic projects like the LEGO® Roller Coaster or LEGO® Architecture sets. The day also features LEGO® games, building contests, and expert tips from Camp Brick staff. At the end of each day, campers will proudly display their creations for photo’s—pictures and videos will be emailed to parents.

Immerse yourself in the captivating world of theatrical expression and unlock the actor/actress within. Our Drama Acting Camp is designed for aspiring performers of all levels, providing a dynamic and supportive environment for participants to explore the art of drama.  Throughout the camp, participants will engage in a variety of exercises, workshops, and performances that delve into the intricacies of dramatic and supportive environment for participants to explore the art of drama.  From mastering the fundamentals of stage presence to honing the nuances of character development, our experienced and passionate instructors will guide attendees through a comprehensive curriculum. At the end of the week, we will have a performance you are invited to attend.
