Extended Care

Extended Care provides adult supervision for students in Preschool - 8th grade. Full and part-time options are available. Each afternoon includes snacks, homework, and recess. Children enjoy a variety of enriching choices during centers such as LEGOS, the art cart, the little library, and board games.

    Morning Care Hours
    7:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.  (Thursday Mornings 7:00 a.m. - 8:30 a.m.)

    After Care Hours
    Preschool 2:30 - 5:30 p.m.
    Elementary 2:50 - 5:30 p.m.
    Middle School 3:00 - 5:30 p.m.

  • Extended Care Fees

    $75 non-refundable registration fee for full and part time options.
    Full Time - $67/week
    Part Time - $5/morning, $9/hour aftercare
    Late Fees - $5/min/child
Davidson Academy respects the school-age child's freedom to control this portion of his or her day. Child-directed choice allows children to spend time in a less structured environment doing the things they enjoy. It is an important aspect of school-age care.

Study hall is open each day for children to work on homework assignments. Extended Care staff remind and encourage children to work on assignments. However, it is not possible for all children to use this time doing homework. Usually, it is more successful for families to determine homework policies and enforce them. Outside play cannot be withheld for homework purposes.

Afternoon snacks and drinks are provided for students registered in all Extended Programs. However, students may bring a peanut-free snack from home.

Half Day/School Holiday Care

Childcare is offered when school is closed for half days and parent teacher/conferences for an additional fee. Specific dates are listed on the registration page.
