Annual Fund Giving

Endowment: Davidson Academy’s endowment aims to be a perpetual source of support for the school and its mission of preparing students for college, life, and eternity. Although in its beginning stages, the goal of the DA endowment will be to provide revenue support for DA’s operating budget. The endowment funds will support nearly every aspect of DA’s operation including Christian life, facility improvements, faculty compensation and growth, and need-based financial aid. Our goal is to build a lasting legacy of support for generations to come. 

Spiritual Life: Subsidizing retreats, chapel leadership, service opportunities, and Bible teachers to ensure that all DA students receive a Christian-based education that will guide them through this life and eternity. 

Safety and Security: Supporting 2 full time security officers on our campus which provide leadership and expertise to keep the DA campus as safe and secure as possible. 

Academics: The creation of a new Outdoor Classroom in the High School. This project will include outdoor seating, landscaping and potentially a water feature, and outdoor classroom space.  This project is aligned with our STEAM initiative and project-based learning. The Advanced Art class designed the space that serves all students and is useful for multiple purposes.  Secondly, the kindergarten hallway will be remodeled with an emphasis on sensory learning and design to provide our kindergarten students with a welcoming environment for them to learn. 

Fine Arts: Supporting our Fine Arts programming by upgrading multiple accessories in the classrooms and performance space. These include a background star curtain, floor lighting, Aura Zoom Wash moving Head Lights, a new projector in the High School Gym, and Becen 400 watt stage spot wash lights. This will allow us to continue fostering talent, teamwork, and creativity in our K-12 students and enhance the productions on campus. 

Digital Signage: Two new video boards will be installed on campus to provide messaging for athletic, fine arts, and other activities in the stadium and gym areas. The programs used for the digital video boards will allow students to learn programming and video production. The new digital signage will also allow for additional advertising to take place during events. 

Athletics: A new softball scoreboard will be installed on the softball field. The baseball indoor facility will receive an upgrade by adding additional hitting space, middle school changing space, and updated dugout space which will allow better access for our players and spectators. 

DA Preschool: Our new state of the art Preschool will house an indoor playground that will allow our littlest ones to play and create inside when the weather is not cooperating. This playground will be the first of its kind for a preK-12th grade school in the area and will give DA Preschool students an outlet to thrive. 

Teacher Compensation: Funding Bonuses and salary increases allowing your child’s favorite teachers to be supported. 

Need-Based Financial Aid: Support deserving children and families attending DA who could not otherwise attend for financial reasons.
